Westcotes Weekly Update

Westcotes Neighbourhood Team

Hello everyone,

Here’s your latest update from the Westcotes Neighbourhood Team, including some of the work we’ve been carrying out across the area this week.

Arrests and investigations

Officers arrested a person who was wanted on warrant. During the arrest, they were also found to be in possession of cannabis.

An arrest was also made in connection with an assault.

We have been carrying out CCTV enquiries as part of ongoing investigations, as well as following up burglary reports and enquiries in the local area.

Cannabis grow discovered

Officers discovered a cannabis grow during enquiries, resulting in a male being arrested.

Tackling anti-social behaviour

We continue to respond to reports of anti-social behaviour involving illegal bikes, with officers carrying out patrols and responding to concerns raised by residents.

Jewellery snatches

We are aware of an increase in reports of jewellery snatches around Westcotes Drive. We are continuing to monitor the situation and would encourage residents to remain vigilant when out and about.

If you witness anything suspicious or have information that could assist our enquiries, please report it to us.

Road traffic collision

Officers attended a road traffic collision on Fosse Road Central, providing assistance at the scene.

Out and about in the community

Our officers have also been out on the beat conducting enquiries, while providing cover at the front enquiry office.
